about us

a message from our founder

I was away from home, staring into the flicker of a campfire when the idea for Xequity sparked to life.

My career always centered around accessibility and home buying. First as an independent real estate broker and then with Redfin and most recently with Flyhomes (both excellent organizations).

But for me, the innovation didn’t go far enough to include people that need just a bit of help crossing the finish line. As I watched the wealth of those in the real estate industry increase at a frenzied pace, I couldn’t help but look over my shoulder and see what the cost of that success really was.

We’ve seen the market get hotter, and real estate industry insiders grow wealthier, as more and more people were left behind, simply priced out, and locked out, of homeownership.

Owning a home shouldn’t be a wish whispered into the night. A wish that’s just out of reach. It should be a door that’s open to you.

As I sat in front of that campfire, it occurred to me that there is a better way, a way where those of us in the real estate industry can become part of the solution.

Down payment assistance programs are plentiful, but would-be home buyers are left to figure out the complexities and real estate jargon on their own. And when you’re not familiar with the lingo or even the options available to you, the barriers can seem insurmountable.

As an industry, we can do more. I know we can do better.

The solution? Xequity.

We put everything in one place: guidance, education, help navigating available programs, and positioning your winning offer. And we pay the closing costs.

I invite you to share in this vision, to become a champion of homeownership accessibility. To dare to dream and open the door to new homes for those who we refuse to leave behind.
